Duncan Ranch

Buried in the Nevada desert are many ranches. The Duncan Ranch sits across a dirt road from the original Oreana townsite. Elmer Salinas (when he owned the ranch) built a water wheel on the Humboldt River beneath the large tree pictured in the bottom right. The Duncan's own thousands of acres to run their cattle in the winter and summer. (Check out the Oreana page to get directions.)
