Hawes Station, Nevada

Situated between Dayton and Silver Springs, this station is easily seen from the highway, but only if you know where to look. It was built in 1851 and was one of the first permanent structures built along the Carson Trail. Until the 1870's it also served as a stop on the Overland Mail and as a Stage Station.
