Lincoln Highway in Nevada

The Lincoln Highway was the vision of Carl Fisher in 1912. It was a series of roads (often sandy, dirt, or gravel) that connected the East and the West. Signs of the road can be seen throughout Nevada following Highway 50: a culvert with the original sign on it, a stretch of the road near Sand Mountain and the remnants of the sign 'Lincoln Bar' where Louis Basque Corner now stands.
