Lovelock Arrow, Nevada

Another stone's throw from I-80 (you can see the semis in one of the pictures), is the Lovelock Arrow. Back in the 1920's there were no navigational aides for pilots flying mail cross country. So these cement arrows were laid every ten miles to guide the pilots to their destination. Few remain, but their significance can not be underestimated!
