Rhodes Marsh, Nevada
This is one of the three great Borax and Salt marshes in Central Nevada: Columbus, Rhodes, and Teal. All three are just off of Highway 95 and an easy drive. Rhodes Marsh was originally known as Virginia Marsh as it was the this marsh that originally was the source of salt for Virginia City. Camels at one time were used to transport this salt. Rhodes Marsh sat right on the Carson & Colorado Railroad! These pictures were taken at the site of Rhodes, Nevada.
