Wilson's Canyon, Nevada

Although it is today a great recreation spot, it does have some historical significance. It was named for the Wilson Ranch. Jack Wilson grew up there. He would later be known as the great Indian profit Wovoka. The famed Fremont Cannon was lost somewhere near here. Some claim the rock in the picture contains contemporary petroglyphs (very light) of Fremont's journey through this area.
